Look at this serene and tranquil face of Saint Joseph as he bows slightly with one hand with slightly folded fingers as if blessing people around him. Notice the placid smile and don’t miss the dimples in his cheek. The multi-folds of his robe, the delicate demur and the super wavy hair at the back have been craved in detail so much so that even a strand of hair is clearly visible.
Look at the free falling robe which seems to be made from a soft material as it flows well. Notice how it gathers close to his right hand, which is holding a heart shaped wafer thin card. All of it is carved from genuine and legal mammoth tusk ivory, and is an authentication of the Master Carver’s skill. See the well-defined fingers and toes. One of the feet is turned towards the side while the other one is in front as if the saint just turned to bless. He is looking down, with a faint smile playing on his lips while the long whiskers and short beard, adds a charismatic appeal to his face. Set upon a sturdy teakwood stand, it enhances the beauty of the pure mammoth ivory sculpture.
