An example of artistic exuberance as crafted by master carver, the Mammoth Ivory Samurai depicts the valor of the Japanese warriors.
Look at the fierce and determined expressions as the Samurai stands with a drawn sword in hand. Look at the carefully sculpted traditional body armor, quiver full of arrows, bow and scabbard on the side.
With another sword on the side, the Samurai looks all set for warfare.
Look at the fine detailing on the dress, the calf armor that is tied with a rope, braided sandals with each toenail clearly visible.
With the complete cleanly sculpted and carved tunic and armor, styled bow, quiver full of individually carved arrows, and the master carver has signed on the quiver.
Look at the finely chiseled helmet, the string that ties it under the Samurai’s chin, and don’t miss the empty scabbard that has wafer thin sides!
The beautiful and intricately designed and sculpted Samurai figurine has been crafted in pure Mammoth Ivory tusk of extinct wooly mammoths that lay buried under Arctic permafrost.
Slight discoloration is natural as over time the organic tusk absorbs the minerals and ivory turns brown with shades of grey blue.
The dark teakwood base has been hand carved to complement the beauty of the ivory figure.
